Main Stand Kit – Triumph Street Twin / Street Cup / Speed Twin 900cc

I installed the central stand on my 2022 Street Twin 900. Although without additional extensions it is very difficult to put the motorcycle on the stand. With extensions it is almost impossible. I don't know if there will be enough height to remove the wheels when the motorcycle is on a stand without extensions. That's why I bought that stand, if needed on a trip, to solve the tire problem. You have to be very careful not to accidentally push the motorcycle forward when it is on the stand because it can very easily come off the stand forward. Stop rubber cannot be installed without additional processing of the hole or rubber. Otherwise, the stand is robust and well made.

This kit is superb value for money. The main stand has lovely clean welds and the powder coating is flawless. The kit is well packed and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. If you’re fitting this kit to a Street Twin with the stock Triumph exhaust I wouldn’t bother fighting with the Tec supplied stop bung. It’s much too big for the hole on the exhaust. I spent £3 on the official Triumph stop bung (part number T2081928). The Triumph part fits perfectly and there’s no need to use silicone grease, it just snaps into place. It’s a shame because the Tec part is nicer than the Triumph one but it doesn’t fit so I decided not to use it. I found it was possible to fit the spring without removing the right hand exhaust silencer. It was necessary to fit the pivot bolt end fitrst and stretch the spring to fit over the lug on the main stand. I didn’t have the strength to do this by hand. Instead I used some thin nylon rope, looped one end around my foot and attached the other end to the spring. By laying down next to the bike it was possible to extend my leg and slip the spring lug over the main stand lug. Note that if the bike is on the side stand it will try to move before the spring extends sufficiently so I put the bike in gear and chocked the rear wheel to prevent movement.

Ordered it as soon as it came back into stock, despatched & delivered within about a week, couldn't fit it til now. Read the instructions, Watched the TEC how to video for clarification of fitting, fitted it within 30 mins, so staraight forward, everything lined up as it should. Needed a little extra muscle with the spring & exhaust bung, but I am old ! Didnt have to put any risers on it, (2024 Speed Twin 900) and really easy to put the bike on & off the stand. Well impressed.

Order Delivery - Excellent, From order to delivery 1 week not bad for England to New Zealand. DHL Courier service and tracking excellent. Quality of stand was good - very sturdy. Instructions - not so good. Quality of photo's was poor. The rubber stand stop needed the hole in bracket on muffler drilling out by an extra 2mm. I used rubber grease to help hammer it into hole after removing left muffler from bike. Fitting of spring - tricky. After consulting a local Triumph mechanic, he suggested finding a video on the web. I found a TEC video for a Street Twin. Amazing, finally found where to attach the spring to motor. So simple once you know where to look. A good clear photo would have saved me lots of anguish. My next challenge is to learn how to lift the bike onto its new stand - out of practice, years since I've had a bike with a main stand. Would I recommend this product to someone ? Yes, especially for cost saving.

Fantastic centre stand, really easy to fit especially after watching the video. Only issue for me was the rubber bump stop, I did read other reviews with the same issue and tried what other people suggested but in the end I wrecked the bump stop. What I did use in the end was a rubber door stop bought from Bunnings hardware and secured it to the exhaust with a 6mm nut and bolt making sure the bolt did not touch the exhaust after tightening up. Only ongoing concern would be if the heat from the exhaust would soften the rubber. I have done a lot of kilometers and so far so good. All in all a fantastic product, awesome TEC staff and support, very easy to purchase and delivery to Australia in super quick time and a lot cheaper than buying in Australia.

The hardest part was the spring , but with a rope attached , it went well. I find nonetheless lifting it on the stand quite hard. My last bike , kawa 900 rs was way easier to lift on the stand, has to do with the place where it sits on the bike . The stand self is very nice

I am generally satisfied. Only the assembly of the spring was very tedious. A tool for tensioning the spring should be included.

Bought this as I wanted to have the rear wheel unweighted and off the ground when out and about for ease of adjusting the rear shocks. Of course it makes chain care at home a breeze too. Looks very tidy on the bike and easy to operate. Re. fitting the rubber bung - I put it in a jug of hot water to soften it up beforehand and applied a bit of silicone grease.

The stand is very well made and finished and the service was good with on time prompt delivery. Fitting the spring and rubber was very fiddly and took numerous attempts to get right. Even then couldn't get rubber to seat properly. Not sure about the adjustable foot design either, doesn't make for as easy lifting as I have had with other stands with welded feet.

Everything installed relatively easy except for rubber stop on the exhaust pipe and it just took a little muscle. I didn't need any spacers for the legs,rear tire was about an inch off of the ground which seems about perfect. My only small con is it's a little difficult to operate,I had to take the seat and the left side panel in order to grab the frame,more of a bike issue. I had a fz6 with a factory stand,the fz could be lifted pretty easily. I would definitely purchase again,great value

I ordered the stand from Austria. Super fast delivery and customs was also very fast. Im super happy with the stand itself. Putting it on the bike takes literally 5min. I did not use the recommended spacer. Only the rubber plug (to avoid rattling) is impossible to fit. Tried oiling it and I still damaged it while using pliers. That could need some improvement. 5 Stars anyways.

Have to say how impressed I was with the whole delivery service. All fitted and working well. Only 1 downside the rubber bung to stop the stand hitting the exhaust was a bit of mare to fit requiring 2 people to hold and a screwdriver to push the rubber in. Suggestion would to be thread it and then it would be do much simpler to fit. Apart from that all good

The stand is very useful; it doesn't really look stock with the bobbins at the end, but I understand the need for modularity / flexibility in terms of bike models it needs to fit. The whole installation was pretty simple / straightforward, if it wasn't for the rubber stop :) That a real pain in the a** to get into the stock hole in the exhaust; maybe a threaded rubber design could have helped a lot? I'm not an engineer but that's how I would do it to make it easier for customers.

Item arrived really quickly and we’ll packaged. Fitting instructions clear and stand easy to install. Solid product when fitted and easy to operate bike onto stand. Only giving 4 stars as some welding looks to be done to a budget but maybe I’m expecting top quality for what is relatively a lot lower cost than Triumph’s product. Overall worth buying as allows much better access and maintenance than with stock side stand.

Delivery was very quick and the stand was easy to fit only the rubber buffer caused some problems but nothing that couldn’t be overcome and the main thing was it works fine I can now service and adjust the chain and keep the wheel clean thanks for a good product at a reasonable price Paul M

Good solid item, not ridden yet but hope it doesn't cause ground clearance issues. The stops are not an equal length which means that when the bike is on the stand there is a clearance of about three millimeters between the stop and the frame on the right hand side.I'm tempted to alter it so both stops are effective which would also allow the stand to not be quite so vertical. The illustration could be clearer.

Half price of a triumph one. Decent quality, with clear easy instructions and a video on Facebook. Don't struggle with the spring, bend it and fit washers between the coils to stretch it to the required length, fit, then remove them. Job done.

Received the item in Melbourne only 5 days after placing the order. YouTube video made the installation easy. I found it necessary to remove the exhaust muffler in order to install the rubber stopper. Great product and great service. Thank you!

Great product, I am satisfied with the central support, very good value for money, the assembly is relatively easy, except for the assembly of the exhaust rubber and the spring that are somewhat difficult (at least for me). Shipping to Spain very fast.

Fantastic stand, relatively simple to fit however a couple of steps can be a bit of a pain ie the spring and the rubber bung in the exhaust. Lots of swearing and head scratching but got it sussed in the end

Nice bit of kit. As others say it is hard work getting the spring attached, but I followed the video from TEC and got there in the end. Others have struggled getting bike on the stand, but we all know it is technique. Stand seems good quality and easily the best £100 I've spent on a bike. Quick delivery and good communication about delivery.

Nicely made piece of kit,not too hard to install (apart from the rubber bung which I really did struggle with after cutting a bit off the top managed to get it in) it makes life so much easier now for bike maintenance.I definitely will be ordering more items once the bank balance allows it. Didn't take long to put on, hardest part was getting the rubber bung into the hole in the (stock) exhaust - that's what the kitchen table's for. Nice that it's adjustable for height, sturdy and works well.
