Fuel booster plug – Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650

I hated the weighty exhaust pipes so changed to a free flowing exhaust on my interceptor but after that the incessant popping drove ne nuts. I felt that eventually it would damage something in the engine and the bike just didn’t run right. Then I installed this booster plug and honestly this has been the best addition. The bike runs great now.

I bought the booster plug for my Interceptor 650 as a fail safe for fuelling given the TEC 2-1 Stinger and K&N air filter that I have on my bike. The throttle response is so much better now and really pulls throughout the rev range.

I fitted the S&S air filter and the lightweight end cans and although the bike went well, there was a bit of a rawness to the drive and a rasp to the exhaust note. Booster plug smooths every thing out with better clutch control and smooth gear changes. Very impressed at the improvements.

Really easy to install, no further action needed. My RE650 is equipped with a DNA High Flow Air Filter and TEC Cannon Silencers. With the booster plug installed, the engine runs noticeably smoother. Don't expect more horsepower, but one can feel a difference. Should have installed it a year ago.

Arrived promptly and I fitted it straight away, easy installation, engine runs great it seems a quality product.

Been for a 100 mile ride last Sunday and the bikes performance was far better.

TEC had my order made up extremely quickly and I received it 2 days later, which was excellent. I have only had a couple of decent runs on the bike since fitting this item, but so far my bike seems very responsive and any tendency to stall appears to have gone. More than happy with the service and quality of the item.

Ordered the booster plug based on many favourable reviews. Delivery was very quick. Plug was very easy to install and came with good instructions. Haven't had the chance to ride the bike but tickover seems much smoother.

I've basically bought everything for the interceptor over the last two weeks from tec. Full big bore system, booster plug, DNA filter kit, brake and clutch levers, lighting kit, chain guard, wedge washers, front indicator adapter kit, gear lever. All have been fantastic quality and delivery has been quick. I honestly can't fault Tec! Looking forward to more parts that come out, hopefully a number plate bracket as the rear light from the kit means the number plate is too far away from the light. Keep the great work coming guys!

Great stuff! Bike is way smoother and better power delivery at lower rpm, without the sluggish feeling. My RE GT650 feels more powerful and responsive. Complements my aftermarket exhaust and air filter. No sacrifice noticed on fuel consumption.

I took my Interceptor out for a few hours this morning after fitting the booster plug during the week. I bought it as I’ve already upgraded to a DNA filter and Stinger exhaust and it felt that whilst I have more power, the bike felt a bit lean and was backfiring on deceleration. The booster plus-in has really smoothed out the power across the range, I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I was skeptical about the veracity of the claims made about the booster plug, but decided to give it a try as my 2020 Continental GT 650 had a stalling issue when cold. It is fitted with aftermarket mufflers and a K&N air filter, although the stalling issue was there both prior to and after fitting those items. After I fitted the booster plug the stalling issue was immediately resolved. Decel popping in aftermarket exhaust is also reduced and the bike seems generally happier than before. It is very early days yet as I haven't had much time to ride the bike, but so far so good! Fitting was easy too. Thanks.

There was no information about which Euro omissions standard. I had to return it because it was not compatible with Euro 5 omissions. I bought the Power Commander 5 instead. Otherwise, TEC bike parts is an awesome company. I highly recommend. Great customer service!

Fantastic difference to throttle response, feel that it needs the high flow air filter and better exhaust for my bike at least.

I think it makes the engine more responsive and less hesitant especially when pulling out of slow corners, turnings and junctions, etc. Installed after fitting DNA filter and intake bracket, good combination.

Yes I think it had made a difference. I have free flow header pipes and mufflers. Engine much more responsive and better pick up . With this booster plug

Not a massive difference, but nippier and easier reving. Fitted with 2into1 exhaust and high flow air filter. Easy to fit. Would recommend it.

Installed the booster plug on My Continental GT 650 yesterday, and it's absolutely brilliant. Does everything that is explained in the video. Smoothed out the lower revs and the 'popping' from the after market cans, also feels a little quicker in the higher gears, particularly 6th, didn't need to look for an extra gear haha. Super easy and quick modification.

Easy to fit in a few minutes. Works well in combination with perfomance air filter and "free flow" exhaust. Also seems to have stopped backfires I was getting when throttling down.

As always there was no problem at all with TEC parts service, however the booster plug itself doesn’t seem to make much difference to the RE Interceptor in my opinion

I fitted a dna air filter followed by the booster plug. The fuelling is smooth right across the Rev range. It was very easy to fit and it has improved an already great bike.

Dead easy to fit,bought to try and stop my Norman Hyde aftermarket exhausts from poping on the overrun and have to say it has improved but not totally cured.Mid range has improved slightly as well. ,

I fitted this after fitting a dna air filter and cover plate. The fuelling is smoother and the sound is great. Having run the engine stock for 3500 miles, this was an excellent upgrade.

Quick delivery as usual First impressions it seems to do exactly as stated a bit the bikes more responsive and a bit smoother at lower speeds and don't think it's affecting fuel economy either. Easy to fit the video was a great help so very pleased with the purchase.

Another simple plug and play upgrade for the Interceptor or the Continental GT. Simple seat removal, find air sensor two pin plug, mine was in the gap infront of the ECU. I mounted the air probe on the front of the frame down tube. Ready too play

Does exactly what it says on the tin. After market exhaust fitted and dna air filter and was lumpy at low revs now smooth as a kitten.
