CB400F 1974-79 TEC Chrome shock absorbers

These actually do fit very well after buying 2 sets of shocks supposedly for the 400 4 neither fitted properly until I got these, pretty close to original for half the price, excellent

Delivery good, fitted new parts, all good. Used a 10 mm washer to reduce the play.

Just like original shocks and fitted perfectly with spacers provided. A little soft but easily adjusted for a firmer ride with spanner provided. Much better than the universal shocks available on other sites which are all way to hard.

Shape and style is fine. Quality good for price. Problem when fitting, the opening at the bottom to sit on the bush on the frame was not snug. A stainless M10 washer was needed to reduce gap to satisfactory fit. If not used the bottom fitting when tightening will bend.

Fit perfectly and look correct. Great value for money. More accurately I wanted the CB550 units without shrouds. I was advised to purchase these CB400 units. They have a marginally slimmer appearance to. The original units and hopefully the spring rate and damping is suitable for the 550.
