TEC Shock Absorbers – Black Body with Silver Spring – BSA Goldstar

Easy to fit seems to have made a difference in handling, not pogoing as much now

The shocks that came with the bike felt a bit spoungy when cornering , and after reading loads of reviews on the bike it seemed like I wasn’t alone . Bought these shocks and fitted them , set them to middle setting as only one up on the bike . Now it feels a lot firmer and bit more controlled through bends . Glad I got them . The old ones have gone to that great shock absorber heaven never to see the light of day again

The standard shocks are quite heavy and with a stiff spring rate and vague damping. For the cost of these replacement shocks which are both lighter and better damped I am happy with the improved ride.

Yes they smoothed the back end out quite well

The shocks are pretty good especially for the price. They came in a plain box so no idea who made them , the chrome springs are quite rough and the adjustment ring is narrow so the supplied tool slips off. Having said that the bike is much better damped and gives the bike a more planted feeling. At the end of the day you can spend a lot of money on shocks which may not perform any better.

Easy to fit , but couldn't adjust them with spanner provided, although may not have to as not road tested yet

The TEC shock absorbers I recently fitted to my BSA Gold Star have made a big improvement to the damping of the rear suspension. Build quality is good and the TEC product matches the aesthetics of the Gold Star. I'm very pleased with the improvement.
