TEC Tail Tidy Kit – BSA Goldstar

The tail tidy is high quality and well designed. The fitting instructions are good with an excellent video available too. I mistakenly ordered 2 and was given an immediate response and refund. Highly recommend.

Easy fit, after watching UTube. Looks much better and can use rear lift with out removing number plate.

Overall I'm very pleased. Simple and straight forward to fit. The online video demonstrating the fitting procedure is very good indeed. If I have a small criticism it is the cables look unsightly from the side. Some kind of rubber shroud/boot would be good. Also there is a pinch point on the bracket where the cable exits from the mudguard and is under the new bracket. If I was producing this I would have contoured the bracket to relieve the crush effect. That being said it makes a huge positive difference to the aesthetics of an other wise well styled retro machine, apart from the hideous exhaust system. Well done TEC, I would highly recommend this product.

This kit looks and feels quality. Installed it could be mistaken as a stock factory item. It gives my bike the authentic look at the rear it needed. Installation was easy and the design has been well thought out to allow this. Really pleased with this and the service from TEC.

Delivery & packaging excellent. Parts quality excellent. Price very reasonable. 10 out 10. If possible I would suggest one thing. I don't like the end position of the wiring to exposed, but not a lot can be done about that without alteration which would then defeat the principal of the parts. I would explore the possibility of putting a bend / turn on either side of the bkt to hide the wiring more. I would have paid more for this improvement.

Love the bike but hated the rear end set up as it doesn’t look in keeping with the bike , bought the tail tidy and it’s completely changed the back end and a lot more to my liking. Easy to fit, all the bits there down to every last detail , good instructional video to follow through the process . Good value for monies . Finished off the black piece between the seat and plate with a nice BSA sticker off eBay and now looks great 👍🏻

Recently bought and fitted the tail-tidy to my Gold Star. The original rear light/plate arrangement was awful and appeared very much an afterthought by BSA, who otherwise had gone to some trouble to make the new bike look similar to the original. The bike now looks brilliant and how it should have looked from the factory. I had little trouble fitting it but found that I did a few things in a different order from the instructions to make things easier for myself, like reattaching the wiring before fitting the unit and fitting the two bolts to the seat lock release before the rear support bolts. Great product and well worth the cost. I highly recommend this as the first upgrade to consider for any Gold Star owner. Thanks TEC.

Plug & play as shown in the video. Looks beautiful. German number plate is a bit longer, so I fitted a aluminium plate with new reflector under the number plate.

I’ve fitted the tail tidy kit and I’m really pleased. A very simple task to complete. I’m left wondering why BSA didn’t do this in the first place. The whole bike looks so more finished. I would have tweaked the design my self and very nearly made one. However, the quality of this product can’t be over stated. It is solid! The addition of a BSA decal and everything will look like original equipment.

Finishes the rear end of the bike off perfectly. Well designed and easy to fit if you follow the YouTube video.

Tec bike parts tail tidy is very easy to fit and looks the part ...gets ride of the ugly plastic effort from BSA ...care needs to be taken to tidy all the loose wires away behind the mounting plate as this is visible once fitted.., i used black electrical tape as the wires have big white tags on.

Great addition to the bike now looks lots better. Bit fiddly to fit but not really a problem at all you will need a smaller uk legal plate as the original overhung the indicators slightly. But that’s me being picky I like things to look right thank you

The one unattractive detail on the 650 Bsa was the positioning of the back light /indicators,this well designed part rectifys the problem without drilling any holes. Looks good, easy to fit, and well made! 🤠

Excellent quality components. I haven't installed the kit yet, but I have seen the installation video on YouTube, it looks like a straight forward installation and looks miles better than the stock BSA arrangement.

The relocated taillight/number plate bracket completely changes the rear view of the goldstar looks more like older bsas had the light quality made easily fitted worth every penny 100%

Well presented product and good comms. If you watch the installation video first, it's an easy job with basic tools required. I used a piece of shrink sleeve to hide and protect the wiring and connections between the mudguard and the bracket as it looked both vulnerable and untidy when viewed from the side. This minor niggle is the only reason I didn't give it a 5. This tidy improves the appearance of the back of the bike considerably in my opinion. The original looked a bit of an afterthought from BSA and spoilt an otherwise good looking bike, so well worth the effort. It's a good design and well executed with existing fixing points and lighting units utilised. Thanks!

IN A FEW WORDS, JUST LOOKS MILES BETTER THAN THE STD FITTING OF THE REAR LIGHT ETC

Have just fitted the tail tidy & what a improvement to the rear end , with the help of the video on u-tube it made the fitting easy, hopefully if you sell enough the price may come down,one other thing it may help some of us who are not d.i.y. technically minded to number the part's ( like they do if you buy any flat pack furniture.) Well made and thought out piece of kit. I was worried that it was going to be a bit of a faff to fit but it was fairly straightforward if you follow the instructions. I even got the indicators the right way round! Though I did try and fit it over the seat lock.. top tip..it goes under it..

This is a quality well made product which makes such a difference to the look of my bike. It was very to fit with a couple of hex keys and a 10mm spanner and took about an hour which included looking at the YouTube tutorial. It’s not cheap at almost £100 but in my view it’s worth it.

Very good you could give the options for the Bracket to be polished as stainless steel As a option as it would match the silver sheen If you decided to make this option and to sell just the top plate in SS I would be happy to just purchase this item
