TEC Stainless “De-CAT” X-Pipe

Fitted a coupe to my 2019 new to me T120 sounds so much better even with standard pipes. I’ve fitted two of these and have only just learned that put the clamp and seal on the rear flange of the coupe then push in the rear pipe

The x pipe is well made and fits perfectly and it certainly makes a difference the engine revs easier and the revs fall back quicker it’s how the bike should have been when made.its a bit lighter not that you can feel it really and it releases a bit more noise and I think it’s makes the t120 sound very nice just loud enough all in all well worth the money.but I would not say it was an easy fit not due to the x pipe but those horrible stupid clamps under the back of the engine that join the exhaust.but it was definitely worth it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent service from TEC. Fitted to my T120 with standard cans. Helps with fuelling and pick up is a lot smoother. Not as loud as I was hoping though.

Ordered a De-Cat X pipe from TEC. Best value on the market that I could find. Well made and a good fit. Uses all the OE mounting points. Clearly well made and engineered. Once the engine learn was carried out the bike appears to pull better low down and mid range. Sounds the same just more audible at higher speeds. Removed a couple of kilos from the bike too. A good upgrade. May be worth ordering new front pipe gaskets when you fit this part as they are fragile and it is a tight fit. Also I tapped up the frame tubes which judging by the marks left on the tape from the exhaust during fitting was a wise precaution.

The product looks even better than in the pictures. The welds are solid, and the chrome finish is beautiful. The photos don’t do it justice. Delivery was excellent. I’ll install it in the next few weeks and see how it performs."

10 out of 10 the pipe fitted as per your video but took me a bit longer 😊. Has made a difference to sound and power delivery. Really pleased. Delivery was fantastic 👍

Bought late last year for my 2016 Thruxton 1200 but only recently had the chance/time for the installation. Fairly straight forward but struggled to seal on one side. Fitted new triumph crush washers but they didn't! so put one of the originals on which worked. The exhaust note is now deeper and a bit louder at tickover but has a lovely bark when given some beans. Pickup from low revs has completely eradicated the slightly snatchy throttle behaviour and it feels more rev happy and smoother from low down and through the rev range. The bike feels quicker but that might just be me. Altogether really happy and at the price is a bargain! Another great buy from TEC Bikes.

Great service as usual. X-pipe seems well made and, following the instruction videos, fitted pretty much straight on. Very happy.

Item is well made and was easy to fit. You need a paddock stand. Changes the sound to a nice deeper burble without being offensive. Also you lose a lot of mass when you take the cat off. Fitting was straight forwards, there are plenty of videos on youtube on how to do it - but if you are just methodical and remove things until you can get to the original and then, as the Haynes book of lies says "refitting is the reverse of removal"

So I’ve not done many miles since putting the xpipe on but it sounds a little louder and deeper but not by much. The bike is running very smoothly with it on. Apparently it was a pig to fit as it wouldn’t line up (I had it done by an independent Triumph specialist who is used to doing the job) but it was very light and over half the price of another alternative and from a UK company rather the Europe so that’s a big plus. All in all happy with it and good value for money. I will continue to use tec 👍

I've had this item for quite a while and I have been steeling myself to face the job of fitting it. It's a pain in the A*** to fit, I have previous experience fitting one to a T120. It's even worse on the Speed Twin. The Chinese puzzle of the header and balance pipes takes a bit of solving. Read the Haynes manual and it all fits perfectly. Once fitted, you will be amazed how much more rideable the bike is, especially riding round town, less jerky and lumpy, being able to stay in a higher gear instead of keep changing down. Out on the open road, give it some beans and listen to the glorious tone of the exhaust (even with standard mufflers) as you rocket into space. It's well worth the day I spent fitting it. This and the Tec Progressive front fork springs are essential for Speed Twin Owners. Fit yours now! I am waiting for the Men of Tec to market some stainless Pea Shooter silencers? John Essex.

Now fitted to my T120 (2018) and very pleased. Have been pondering for 12 months and wish I done it sooner. Local dealer fitted for me, took 3 hours but now smoother at low speeds and a more throaty (not excessive) noise. I chose Tec after reading countless reviews also my dealer said he had fitted many Tech parts (not decat) and quality excellent. A well worth while upgrade and very quick service (24 hours) from the Tech team

Delivered quickly after ordering and so far very well impressed. It was well packaged and looks like a quality piece of kit. Fitting soon so will leave another review afterwards. So far though I’m very happy with this purchase

Bike sounds soo much better now, especially paired with the slip ons :) Bit tricky to install but got there in the end.

The Tec X-pipe has really improved my T100. I found it quite difficult to fit but it was definately worth the effort.

This X pipe was a very easy fit and is very well made. It has given my speedmaster a nice bark to the exhaust sound and a very nice bumble on the overrun. Delivery was very fast too. Excellent service 5 stars.

Hi all at tec,just received my xpipe for 2016 very swift turnaround thanks,instructional videos was very helpful as was the 'shortcuts' no wonder you swear when tackling the frame top nut/bolt George!!!it's a ba*****!!!,just fired up this morning sounds awesome ,turned sound from a 70's Honda 250 into a beast like it should sound ,thanks all for a superb product as always ,all the very best Jeff Sherwin

it didn’t fit very well on t120, there are two places for bolts on x pipe but they are not distant enough from each other, so I had to screw only one. which is not a major problem, pipe still holds very well.

This was the second order that I placed with Tec and same with the first one it was great! This time was for my second bike, a Triumph Bobber, and it was the decat x-pipe. The delivery arrived soon after the order, it was well packed and although there was no instructions you can easily find a lot of videos on YouTube. The bike now breaths better and have a pleasant bass sound from the stock silencers!

Very pleased with my x pipe. My triumph bonneville bobber now sounds and runs great. It also seems to have cured the annoying fuelling issue at low engine speed.

perfect fit With noticeable difference to response and sounds great with the vance and hines mufflers, handy youtube video for installation.

Great piece of kit, arrived very qickly, well packaged, just what I'd expect from TEC. Thanks for the video to fit it, it saved me a lot of heartache. One thing, I did wrong was, not put the exhaust clips on the xpipe, before I fitted it, even though they tell you in the video to do just that. My fault, but it really is a must to do, as its a pig to try and get them on whilst its been fitted. I'm really pleased with it anyway. Tec have never let me down. Thanks people

I added the x-pipe to my triumph bobber along with some motone shorties end pipes as i thought i wanted more sound. and BOY OH BOY! does this deliver! the sound has gone from "Riding a lion" to riding "cocaine bear" and in my bikes case it spits out flames on the decel! so good, video of it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQsbDZeYzNk
