TEC Alloy Number Plate Relocator / Tail Tidy Kit for Triumph Speed Twin 1200cc

I wasn't sure whether the tail tidy would fit the 2025 Speed Twin 1200 as I had not seen any other online sharing. Great news is that it fits really well using the kit provided and the instructions are really clear and logical. I was done in 30 mins. Looks fantastic too.

The part came quickly with full instructions and fitted well.

High quality, suits the bike perfectly (Triumph Speed Twin 1200), far better than stock and far cheaper than the Motone ones (which I've found to be very poorly designed and difficult to fit in comparison). Well done for improving my bike yet again Tec!

Good replacement for the ugly Triumph number plate holder. Lighter, only one piece and retained the original light.

Fantastic addition to my 2025 speed twin 1200 RS. Tidies up the back perfectly.

Provides much improved looks to the original number plate bracket. Easy to install, needed spacers to fit the OEM light as the bolts were too long. Easily remedied. It doesn’t protect from road debris as much as the original but it might be as I fitted a smaller number plate.

Great product, bike looks fantastic now as I never really liked the look of the stock backend. Easy to fit and only requires limited tools. Instructions supplied were easy to follow, YouTube videos can also be used. You may require x 2 spacers to pack out your plate light to stop some slight movement but that's an easy thing to sort (didn't remove a star as product and service was so great).

Would have appreciated included spacers for the plate light screws. Also the holes for fitting the actual plate could have been 0.5 mm larger. Otherwise an excellent bit of kit. As always from TEC Bike.

I am very happy with my purchase. As a buyer located in Germany we are subject to very (unnecessary) stringent laws. The quality of the tail tidy is great. My only problem is the angle of the number plate once reattached. In continental Europe the numberplate must be displayed at a maximum of 30°. If the police take a disliking to you and the number plate is displayed at over 45° there is a potential fine of up to 1000€. Maybe consider a european distribution of a 30° tail tidy. Like I say, I am very happy, the quality is great. I used a vice grip and bent the tail tidy myself. Best regards

Super easy to install and looks great I went with the 8x6 plate too and suits the bike perfectly.

Well made product, easy to fit with clear instructions. Original screws to fit original number plate light are too long, and need to be cut or require washers to be added (not supplied) to fit.

Im very happy with my Tail Tidy Kit for Speed Twin 1200cc 2023 Version. Everything perfect !!!

I installed the tail tidy in 20-30 minutes. The only issue I had was that the original screws that are re-used to secure the number plate to the oem number plate light were too long and I had to add spacers in order to get the light to be screwed tight against the new tail tidy unit. I e mailed TEC and they got back to me very quickly ,stating that for what ever reason, a small number of Speed Twins have these longer screws. TEC said they will amend their instructions to highlight this and will look at putting some washers in with the tail tidy kit. If you have seen the missenden flyer install video, you will know that he had to make the tail tidy number plate light cable larger......the new now is fine and it fits through no problem. I did an install video on this. Tail tidy just finishes the back end of the bike up nicely now.

I bought this tail tidy in particular after watching the Missenden Flyer's video on fitting it. As he said it's very good quality. The instructions are ok to follow but I found it's easier if you don't look at the 'exploded' view of the parts but just keep to the written instructions. Now it's fitted it looks great and I used the reflector from the original part by cutting the bracket down and using Sugru to bond the bracket to the back of the number plate so the reflector sits just underneath. Overall a very sturdy well made part by Tec.

Well made and easy to fit . Makes a subtle difference to the rear end of the bike.

Spot on piece of motorbike kit + using original number plate light nice touch.

Really love this simple upgrade with a Big impact. Simple to fit. Look at it first with the seat off and then the instructions. Straight forward. Only suggestion is that the 2 no. Factory screws for the number plate light are too long and needed reducing. 2023/ June Speed Twin 1200.

A quality piece of kit, ridiculously easy to fit even with my limited mechanical ability.

Good fit and easy to install. Note that the 2 original screws of the led light are too long to use with the tail tidy plate. Need to shorten them or find shorter screws.
