Fuel booster plug – Royal Enfield Himalayan

Seems have cured my uneven tickover and uneven revs when on the throttle. Dash is still reading higher than the air temperature but not as high as before fitting so going to replace the air box thermistor as well. Good product which seems to have worked but seems very expensive for what is basically a thermistor, two plugs and a junction box. Service and delivery from Tec was brilliant. Next job is a Tec cam and sprocket 👍

Brilliant upgrade to a 2021 Euro 4 Himalayan. Solves the low rpm stuttering and improves right through the band. I can now do slow corners / U turns easily without the fear of stalling. I also have the air filter and NGK plug upgrades which help.

So fitted booster plug along with dna filter and upgraded intake plate. So... before bike started on choke lever... bike cut out... bike ran fine... but come to a junction and sometimes bike would just cut out..... fit booster plug and instantly all that has gone... it runs a lot smoother..... not any faster... it just runs the way it should. I am very happy

One the the easiest upgrades to the 411LS motor you can do. Very easy install, literally plug and play. Once you find the plug….which is easy as well. Took it for a quick ride and immediately I noticed smoother idle, better power delivery & just more nimble.

Before fitting fuel booster - 2000rpm tickover, stalled immediately after cold start up, 1st gear lurching at low rom. After fitting fuel booster - tickover 1400rpm, no stalling, no lurching Money well spent.

As soon as you start the bike after fitting, you can tell the difference straight away. All that lumpiness has disappeared and it ticks over smoothly. Not quite as easy to fit as I expected. I couldn't locate the sensor plug from the drawing as it was behind the wiring loom. So I took out the air filter and located the probe of the original sensor right up in the top left hand corner of the air box, just under the frame and worked backwards. I took out the two tank bolts and raised the back edge of the tank and then was able to plug in the new sensor. Great improvement. Thanks Biketec.

No exaggeration, this piece of kit has transformed the whole feel of the bike when cold. It will now happily idle on the stand to warm up, instead of stalling and needing the throttle holding open or blipping. It no longer cuts out when slowing or stationary, and it makes the acceleration much smoother by removing the snatchiness. It saves prodding the starter several times which must help the battery, and gives me more confidence when using clutch, brake, throttle, indicators etc such as at T-junctions. Wish I'd fitted one years ago! Excellent service from TEC as always, arrived in a couple of days, well packed, complete with instructions etc.

Good service from TEC. The booster arrived promptly after ordering. Fitting was not that easy, due to the location of the air temp sensor and surrounding wiring loom. Lifting the rear of the fuel tank, the air filter side panel and moving some of the wiring loom out of the way helped. I put the new air temp sensor inside the DNA air filter. It seems happy in there. The bike runs fine with the new gizmo. It's more enthusiatic about moving off now.

The difference between dry or buttered toast, ...overall a more contented engine.

All my research showed the booster plug for the Himmie (and indeed many other Efi bikes) is the way to go for removing weak fueling built in to achieve emission regs. Having used TEC before and experienced the excellent knowledge and backup when fitting their Tec cam I had no hesitation in fitting their booster plug which done just what was promised. I look forward now to their promised header/front pipe to complete my improvement program for what is a great little bike.

I have waited a while before reviewing as I wanted to be sure of the difference between before and after. To start with, the service was great and I received the parts very quickly. Fitting the booster plug was fiddly but once the existing plug was off it was easy to get the new connections on. I managed to do this with the fuel tank just propped up. Changing the filter etc. was a doddle. The bike has only stalled once in 200 or so miles - which is a great improvement. The bike definitely sounds more like it should. I was not initially impressed by the performance but have now put this down to having other bikes that make the Himalayan feel sluggish in any event. I now conclude that there is a definite improvement in performance - particularly in the range of 30 - 50 MPH - which makes joining A roads a lot less daunting! This is with all the above fitted at the same time - I can not vouch for individual items. Was it worth the effort and money? Yes 😀.

My Himalayan is a 2020 bike, it has not been the best starter taking a bit of warming up before stalling stopped. This has resolved that but also gives more go straight off the throttle. Similar effect to using a different needle on a carb bike. How much quicker it is I don't know but the important thing is it feels more responsive. Will make riding off road better when a quick burst is needed to get over rocks or bumps. I fitted the air filter mod after this first assessment.

I bought the booster plug as part of a general upgrade to my Himalayan.I wanted to fit a 1 tooth larger drive sprocket to increase the cruising speed. To compensate for the higher gearing I fitted a K&N air filter as well to go with an already fitted less restrictive silencer. I have no data or figures to test the results, my opinion is purely subjective. The bike feels like it's running smoother with less backfiring of the exhaust. The acceleration isn't noticeably quicker but the bike pulls strongly in all gears. 70mph is easily reached and held, with the motor turning at about 5100rpm. On a 50 mile round trip up the M1 I was touching 75 in places and hit 80 once or twice. The motor didn't feel at all stressed and I still managed an MPG figure in the mid 70's. It's impossible to say which of the upgraded components gave the best result but I achieved what I wanted and am very pleased with the outcome.

Fantastic, running with lextek pipe and DNA filter, bike runs better, accelerates better, even tick's over better. Watched a few of George's Tec videos and i was convinced to rty a few of these products, wife has Himalayan, I have Interceptor and I have been really surprised by the difference these products have made.

Good Quality and easy to fit, if a bit fiddly. I disconnected the fuel pump connector to lift the tank a few inches but forgot to reconnect before switching on. Now I have 'check engine' light on. ECU has logged the fault and I guess needs to be reset somehow. I have a 2020 bike with a 3 wire service connector. Also fitted the DNA filter & will be fitting the Lextek silencer shortly.

I have a Himalayan with a Lextek exhaust end-can and free-flow air filter fitted. The fuel booster plug makes a real difference; the banging and popping on the over-run and cutting out in traffic has all but gone. For me, the fueling seams cleaner and crisper. All in, a great purchase.
