TEC 2-2 Big Bore Stainless Header Pipes – Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650

Being in Australia, and having them supplied and fitted by my dealer, I paid well above the odds for the big bore headers, but it was worth every dollarydoo. I'd already done the mandatory end cans, free flow air filter and snorkel delete, but by far these made the biggest difference, both in performance and noise. And by noise, I mean character and depth, not volume (but you get that as well). Best upgrade to my Interceptor yet.

A great improvement over the very heavy and restrictive originals. Instructions supplied are very easy to follow and all at a great price. The only downside for me is that you don't do them in black like my originals.

Bought these just before Xmas and just had them fitted by Hayballs in Salisbury when i had my 6000 mile service done (Thanks guys, great service as always!) What a difference,combined with the Metacheck rear pipes the sound is deeper and the response is truly noticeable...the bike breaths again and sounds great! Superb service and Product,well worth the price. Tec..Simply the best.

easy fitting great sound just wish they had not been brush Finnish have polished them but will re polish again in the winter brush scratches hard to polish out

Good quality product, rhs for perfect less than 5 mins. LHS was a a bit trickier but lined up after a while probably took 15 minutes. Instructions included were well put together, I definitely would recommend these pipes.

The header pipes arrived in Australia within a week, fantastic , were easy to fit, and the best part add a new dimension to the interceptor when riding. The Enfield is a hoot to ride now, and what a note, big thumbs up to Tec.

It is remarkable how less is more and what a difference to the appearance and sound of the bike these big bore brushed stainless steel pipes make. I have had these before but the intended to sell the bike because of I was going to move. I ended up keeping the bike but I already sold the tec pipes separately. Now I bought them again because I cannot go back to the stock ones. Since I m in Finland now, I will mount these in Spring but I can speak to these anyway cause I tried and tested them before in southern France. To that: For full disclosure, my RE Interceptor has the "correct" modifications to make the best of these pipes. That means breathing has been facilitated with a K&N Filter and cover. So it can breath better. With the tec pipes, it can "exhale" much better and you can feel it immediately in the throttle response, if you also have adequate silencers, which I also modified. So I changed the entire chain from filer cover to muffler but that will inevitably mess with the ECU set-up and the respective air-fuel ratios. In southern France, where temps can get pretty high, even stock, the lean air fuel ratio of euro 5 easily makes the bike stall. With these modifications, especially if you modified front to back, you have to help the ECU to enrich the air fuel ratio, and as far as I know, the fuel x pro is the only option for euro5 models. Mine is now set to level 8 most of the time. These pipes are great, absolutely. I didn't think twice when I decided to buy new headers again to turn to tecbike parts. But as far as I can tell, you ll only get the most of them if you improve the entire breathing cycle and that includes a fuel x pro. Furthermore, I'd like to add that Tecbike parts offers just a great service and it's worth bringing up because so often you have the feeling you are dealing with service reps who are completely disassociated from the products and services they are selling. Not so with tecbike parts. They are quick to process the order and ship. They respond quickly to questions and mails. They make great videos to help you understand how to mount your pieces (something I do not understand why so few other do that). Just overall a great experience shopping at tecbikeparts. Carry on!

The pipes are now on my Enfield but it wasn’t an easy task to fit them. Mainly because some of the fittings do not align with the bike frame and need bending; and the Cannon slips ons did not fit without a lot of modification to the size of the aperture. Once the pipes are on they look and sound great but be aware that these aren’t as easy to fit as you may think, especially when you realise they don’t align as expected/fit properly. Otherwise, very fast delivery but no response to queries regarding why they don’t fit properly.

The headers work well with silencers I obtained from a different firm. Very tight fit and wish I'd used all TEC parts. The right hand header bracket in the middle needed bending about 5mm,no big deal as the welds held ok but took a while to work out the problem. The whole point was to get rid of the weight and the cat, you can actually touch the silencers now after a run without burning your hand and more importantly I am sure it's increased the overall power. I am now stuck with the factory parts, seems a waste to scrap them, it's a shame the emissions laws are indirectly responsible for creating more waste. Anyway, we'll done Tec Parts you're providing a great service. 👍

Fitting was a bit of a faff as the TEC mufflers were too tight to fit to the TEC header pipes but after cutting the slit in the silencers a bit longer and cutting a slit in the header pipes to help flex the pipe smaller I was able to get them to fit. Baffle was missing from one exhaust but TEC were quick to send another one out. Quite pleased with the look and sound on my Enfield Interceptor.

I purchased the pipes and cannon cans and there is no question that the whole system of brushed steel looks incredible on the Interceptor. Not to mention the sound. It roars beautifully. I did only receive one baffle but it will be a rare (if ever) occasion that I use them and as soon as I reported this they sent another out to me immediately. Excellent service. The only problem I had is that whilst I managed to fit one silencer in 5 minutes with just a few hammer taps, the other, after 40 minutes of hammering is still an inch away of being able to get the bolt through. I am quite confident that there is no way it will be falling off as I doubt I could remove it if I tried but it is just slightly frustrating that I can’t bolt it to the frame. Despite this, these exhausts look and sound amazing and at the price they are sold I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The stainless brushed replacement pipes arrive quickly in the Philippines. Sadly the duty payable was a bummer at USD125. The pipes were easy to fit and nice looking. The sound change with replacement exhausts was significant and impressive. The performance enhancement was equally impressive particularly in mid range pulling. Its a good choice, but beware of noise controls by police and public in some countries.

Just fitted my big bore headers to the GT 650. Already had the cannon silencers so have now got the full system and im very pleased with it. Highly recommend Tec for their great parts and service!

No problem fitting them and they look good. They will probably sound great with my Barrel Atom silencers, but one of the O2 sensors siezed into the old pipes. Have to wait and see as I rounded off the sensor trying to get it out. Note:- This is not in any way to do with the pipes supplied by Tec. I am totally happy with their goods and service.

Firstly a gripe, my down pipes didn’t come with the required gaskets? Also some of the finish is a bit rough in places. On the plus side they’re lighter than the original down pipes and the wife can hear me coming lol

Ok i got every thing on but some parts do not fit well like the left silencer (not good!) also the stainless brush work is very bad (they did not take the time for it !! for this amount of money u expect more !)i am thinking to take them off and do it myself! The noise is good! This is my honest review!

Bought these big bore pipes along with the Cannon silencers. Very easy to fit, sound amazing compared to the originals, and feel like the engine is now breathing the way it should do. Excellent quality.

Great pipes. Left hand pipe went on easy. But right one middle bracket was out by 5mm!!!! Took 3 hours to put on . Once on they made a huge difference. Very light too

Fitted Big Bore pipes and Cannon silencers over Christmas. Having first watched the YouTube fitting videos, the exhaust went on with ease, although a second pair of hands for the header pipes is useful. They slim the profile of the bike and remove a significant amount of weight, both a plus for me. The sound is more throaty than the standard pipes, I’ve kept the baffles in so they are not excessively loud. I prefer the 2-2 look as opposed to the alternative Stinger system sold by Tec, as it makes the bike look more balanced. Over all I’m very pleased with the whole exhaust and service provided by Tec Bike parts.

These are some really nice and well made pipes. Not too difficult to fit and look great with the cannon silencers. They also don't really affect the volume of the bike at idle, but add character on throttle.

I bought these and installed them at the same time as the TEC air filter, AEW mufflers, and TEC fuel booster plug so I cannot say what the bike was like before and after the pipes alone but it is noticeably more powerful through the full RPM range. I can comment on the quality and install, however. Quality is a 4/5 in my opinion. I could see some places that were unevenly finished where it looked like they had been hit by a high grit grinding wheel. Doesn't concern me, but it was an imperfection. Install/Fit is also a 4/5. Left side pipe was a breeze and fit perfectly. The right side pipe had to have the mount loop bent to be more parallel with the ground. I compared them and it was clearly off from the other pipe. Hit it with a sledge hammer a few times and it bolted right on. Overall happy with the purchase especially at the price point and I love the look of the pipes bronzing over time from heat.

Ordered Canon silencers and big bore headers for Interceptor 650. Super fast delivery. Very pleased with the exhaust system, excellent finish and it all feels light weight. The You Tube videos are very helpful and I know the system will sound great. I look forward to fitting it. Nicely packaged. Overall good quality, but with a few small clamping marks. All polished out ok. Slight problem with right hand side mounting bracket. It was welded at slightly the wrong angle. Not really a problem, as i noticed it straight away, but Quality Control may need revisiting at some point i would suggest. Overall, good Company with Good products, and excellent youtube videos.

The header pipes are great. They save a massive amount of weight (they're less than half the weight of the originals), and they're easy to fit. The bike runs and sounds great. Good service.

Easy fit and good finish. Great sound...

Having been used to more modern sports bikes and having fitted a few performance exhausts I was quite surprised, these headers seem to be hand made not CNC bent. The quality is lovely. You can see that meaningful time has been spent on the design and construction. I rubbed over the welds (which are nice), with green Scotch-Brite so that the brushing was the same all over and as the heat comes through them and the colour changes that little bit they really do look good. They seem to work really well and give the bike a more poised and purposeful look. Next month I plan on fitting the Cannon Silencers to finish of the system.

Good quality and very good sound. But don't fit as well as could. The right one fits perfect but the left one have 1cm of separation between header and exhaust. At least with the stock exhaust while i wait for the cannon to be on stock again.
