Great little addition, nice looking and inkeeping with the bike. Haven’t really tested it yet but seems ok. I’m going to make a new bracket so it can be installed on the LHS os the bike and hopefully adjustable whilst riding and not needing to remove throttle hand.

I bought and fitted this steering damper on my 2014 T100 because 2 up luggage and screen the bike was prone to wobbles at motorway speeds, especially in cross winds. The steering damper has significantly improved the situation.

Just mounted the TEC steering damper which was very easy and after a test drive I found that this is a very good upgrade on the stability of my Thruxton, mainly on bumpy country roads! Very happy with it !! Thanks to TEC for the fast delivery also!

Haven't had a wobble yet any ways, so seems to work.

My 04 790cc Bonneville was always stable...but steered rather slow for my tastes. It wanted to go straight on. And while I could reach the ground comfortably, I didn't feel in charge of the high centre of gravity. I experimented with different yoke heights and 10mm drop seemed best. I.E. slide stanchions upwards through 'triple clamps'. But this introduced a slight weave at high speeds. I compromised with 3mm drop. Then I discovered Tec shocs that are 5mm shorter. With these fitted I got down to 7mm on the forks. I figured out that I could achieve a full 10mm if I fitted a steering damper. With the Tec item fitted on 1st setting the bike is stable at all speeds. Not even stiff when pushing about or low speed manouvres. Corrugations in parallel no longer dictate my course. Fitting was fairly easy. Photos are a bit dim...if it fouls you've got something wrong. People on forums state that it's just masking a prob...but all things are a compromise and this device solved two or more problems. Thus far it has presented zero negative effects. I discovered that later machines in same range are shorter framed with shorter wheelbase. Couple that with how such slight changes altered my early example and one might understand why people might fit a damper. Everyone's case will differ slightly. Approach with head not heart. Good product 10 out of 10

Very good, it has made the difference to the bike that I wanted it to. The front end feels less prone to folding at slow speeds, and the damper keeps the front end pointing forward over fast, bumpy sections of road.

Steering damper received neat and complete with a description on paper of the assembly. also asked by e-mail how tight the damper in the mounting can be tightened, this was answered quickly and clearly. Very happy with product. It arrived this morning and I fitted it to the bike shortly after. Instruction sheets were good and fitting was straight forward.

Would have preferred a gold coloured one but other than that quite pleased with the steering damper. Quite easy to fit and suits the bike styling and all for a reasonable price...I am running on max damping which is OK for my fairly sporty riding style, the lower settings just didn't seem to have enough damping to make much difference.

Looks really trick on the bike and also works really well at controlling the front end as well, worthwhile modification.

This should be one of the first upgrades for any Bonnie. Now you can ride hands off ( check local enforcement laws first ! ! ) With confidence... Previously vague feedback, very slow riding meant lots of over- compensating but now the steering feels really positive, pretty easy to fit, looks good too

I got this to stop the twitching when the bike wanted to follow any groves in the road and what a difference it has made. It also feels a lot more stable at higher speeds when cornering. Fantastic piece of kit. Definitely worth the money!
