Black Luggage Rack – Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor / Continental GT

Hadn’t planned on buying anymore items for my Interceptor, but then found out I needed to shift some bags as well as having a pillion passenger, so bought one of these racks. Easy to fit, although a couple of the mounts were very slightly out of alignment but with a bit of effort got the bolts in and tight. Looks really good on the bike and have already got the bag on it.

The rack arrived within two days of ordering it. It is well made and the instructions easy to follow ( video ). When fitted it is extremely solid. Highly recommend.

This is my third order from Tec, service is always fantastic ( 3 day delivery to N.Ireland ). The rack itself is a solid piece of kit and with the 6 points of contact makes it solid. Black finish suits my silver spectre colour interceptor. It large enough to mount my wingman of the road tent on it. Really happy with it and Tec as usual.

Just make sure you support the rear wheel before removing the shocks from the top mounting bracket as its one hell of a job to get them back on if the wheel drops to the ground. (My fault - should have thought it out a bit more).

It is a good looking and stirdy rack, t fits easily. I looked for the cosmetic second, was it the not so shiny paint? But why did you Brittish leave the EU? Your £41 rack costed me now €107! It makes me think twice, before ordering again...

Very pleased with the purchase. Really quick delivery. It was meant to be a regect item due to not passing quality control. I did not know how bad it would be but was pleasantly suprised as on inspection found it hard to find what was wrong with it. A great result as I love a bargain.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to any kind of mechanics at all, but for me, part of buying an Interceptor was to learn and have a go. I wanted to add a luggage rack for an upcoming trip. I watched the YouTube video and had a go. It was so satisfying to fit it, and it wasn't difficult at all. Very sturdy, looks great, and I even did the the lift test from the end of the video! It's so useful even when not touring just to put things on, just things like your gloves when you are getting on and off the bike.

Nice bit of kit. Well made and looks good (despite buying a slight seconds) on the bike. Watched the Tec Bike YouTube installation video before fitting and it was straight forward.

Great rack for the price. I have one of the graded second quality batch, so it does have some cosmetic damage, but it's still superb. It's a great fit, if a little fiddly, but certainly doable on your own. It also looks the part for sure (I have the black one), and really suits the bike. Tec Bike Parts were amazing, as always. The rack is pig to fit it took 3 hours. It is very tight over frame and I could not the lift handle back. I am very pleased to have a top box on the bike. The black rack looks like is part of the bike as my bike is all black.

Good rack for the price. Apart from a bit of rough chrome around the brackets it looks fine. I might get it powder coated in black just because I think it will suit the bike better. Straightforward to fit and not much jiggery-pokery needed. Prompt service and a nice Company to deal with.

Excellent product and although the luggage rack was sold as a slight second, the marks were minimal and the discounted price was very good, looks great on the bike and is well designed and made.

Overall good, fits apart from the front fixing fowling the link pipe to reservoir on my yss rear shocks. The top of the shock will not pivot with the rack on so I am taking the angle grinder to increase claerance and allow pivoting.

The unit was as expected but the mounting holes didn't quite line up. No amount of jiggling could get 2 of the holes to line up with the motorbike fixings. One hole required a little filing, the second was probably 5mm out/

Having used Tec bike for several items for mt Interceptor, their service is first class and this product is by far the best available for the interceptor

Received rack in good time and was informed of progress all the way. When arrived and unpacked could not find any real faults and fitted rack according to included instructions with a slight modification in that I wanted to retain the centre stand lifting handle which required a spacer and longer bolt.

Given that this rack was sold to me as imperfect, I have to say that I find it hard to spot any imperfections in the finish or manufacturing of this product. After having watched the YouTube video on fitting the rack, it was pretty straightforward and went on very easily. A great addition to the bike, really well designed and manufactured. Thank you.

Very robust. Strong welds . And was pretty easy to fit . Just lots of fiddling. Haven’t tested it yet, a good sturdy rack

The rack arrived on time well packed.considering it was listed as a slight second I couldn't find any significant fault with the rack.It seems to be well.Made and finished.A bit of a fiddle to fit over the shocks but seems stronger than the RE versions.

Online ordering was easy and quick and delivery was prompt. The rack itself is fine, however I haven’t yet tried fitting it as rain, cold and Christmas have prevented me.

The rack I bought was sold as a heavily discounted 2nd as the chrome was deemed to be of not the best quality over the welds, I recieved the rack and to my mind I couldn't see anything wrong with it, it fitted perfectly within 20 minutes. Thank you.

Advertised as “seconds” ie some dull areas to chrome and welds, with a half price deduction, this rack far exceeds my expectations and I’m completely satisfied with the quality and finish, seconds or not, thank you for a great product .

Rack arrived promptly and fitted in about 15 minutes. I have tec bullet indicators so didn't need to remove the shock absorber,it was very easy to fit and the chrome was better than I expected being that it's a second. For price I paid I'm over the moon with the rack. Another excellent purchase from tec bike parts.

First of all this is a great bit of kit well made. I have a sidecar fitted to my Interceptor hence I could not bolt the rack onto the left hand shocker so I cut that part off, and fitted a rubber cap from a walking stick onto it. It may of reduced the carrying capacity of my rack, but as you can see it will only be carrying my picnic. Next job it to fit the 2-1 stinger to stop my pillion resting their left heel on my exhaust.

Everything is fine apart ftom the heads of the replacement shock bolts are to small also the washers are smaller than the originals don't want to be nitpicking but I'll probably use the original washers.

Nice looking rack, very strong. Fitting was a little tricky as the mounting holes alignment was very tight. Also felt there should be washers supplied for the shock absorber mounts ( only 2 supplied to go between the rack and shock to stop squeaking ), no washer between rack and bolt. Minor niggles really, overall very pleased.....

Received my rear luggage rack after 4 days. Unpacked and there was a slight scratch on the left hand arm. I touched this up with matt exhaust paint and a small brush. It was very easy it to fit having watched the excellent fitting video on the web site. It is a very sturdy rack should comfortably take the weight of my tent and camping gear.

Really pleased with the rack for our Interceptor, would now like to fit a top box to it - any recommendations? Thanks

Fitted back rack to my interceptor no problem took my time didn't find any need to remove the seat as in video although having a bike lift did help a lot now fitted a top box to the rack so when I park up I don't have to carry helmet and gloves to sum up it's a well made product finished off nicely with quick delivery, highly recommended

Well made. Light weight considering size and strength. Easy to fit and I'm a novice. I took the helpful advice of a previous reviewer and put a wooden block under the back wheel to stop it dropping down when I slipped the shock absorber off. Highly recommend.

Very pleased with this purchase. Well made and the extra triangulation gives a lot of confidence. Fitting seemed to be difficult (getting the shocks back onto the brackets). I asked a friend how to raise the shocks to line up and he advised to put a shovel under the back wheel and apply gentle pressure on the handle with a foot whilst lining the shock absorber up. This raised the shocks a treat and made the job really easy.

My last rack fractured at an obvious stress point. This one is much more substantial and also has a six point mounting so I am hopeful that it will last much better. Quick service though the parcel arrived with the end of box torn off everything was still there. Delivery service issue not TEC.
