I had my doubts about the FuelX but was a bit worried about my Classic running lean, I’ve fitted a free flowing exhaust and a less restrictive intake plate. Fitting wasn’t a problem, there is no need to remove the tank just the seat and rear tank bolt I just propped the rear of the tank up to make thing’s easier. It’s a bit of a fiddle but you can unclip the lambda sensor from its bracket , I mounted the FuelX in the left cover where there is plenty of room. The bike definitely feels more smooth and torquey !
I have a 350cc Meteor with the DNA filter kit.
Once you have the seats & tank off the bike the unit is pretty simple to fit.
Prior to fitting, the bike was running lean due to the filter kit and this 'box of tricks' completely sorts that out.
It smooths out the running throughout the rev range and make the bike much more of a joy to ride.
Great service from Tec bike parts.My classic 350 ran fair from new but after the 1250 miles of very careful running in was great as the engine was very tight from new.At 1250 moles I removed the cat and fitted DNA air filter with open intake plate and the bike breathed and pulled much better and sounded really nice (or should i say even nicer ) These air cooled engines seem to run very hot as they run a bit weak with euro 5 ( i did a spark plug check at 1250 miles and the plug was so clean wtih no colour and like new ) so fitted the Fuelx to hopefully guard the engine from running to weak. Only done about 50 miles so far but the cooling fins are cooler after a fast run than before so will do another plug test after a few hundred miles to check.My bike ran perfect before the Fuelx was fitted but is now more eager and more refined than before.Great bike as standard but even better with these few mods.
Thank you Tec Bike Parts for another order quickly dispatched and delivered. Fitted this to my Meteor 350 in about 15 minutes, without having to remove the fuel tank. Only compromise was (unlike Clasic 350) there wasn't a spare space to mount the FuelX control unit, which had to go in the tool kit space. To soon to comment on performance but the 'plug & play' - 'fit & forget' aspect of instalation are good features for me. If this device lives up to all the good reviews of other longer term users I will be very happy.
