Fuel booster plug – Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE / XC

Fitted the Fuel booster plug, went for a test ride, the Fuel booster plug has transformed the way the bike runs, very happy.

So far so good. This booster plug has completely fixed my 1200 XE Scrambler which was idling roughly (or not at all sometimes), cutting out and taking a couple of goes to start it. The bike was also a bit snatchy at low revs. I've only ridden it 3 times since installation and so far so good. I don't even need to touch the throttle start it now from stone cold. I was seriously thinking of selling the bike because of the above. Now its a joy. The bike runs like it was supposed to. Great product for this situation. Recommended.

Worked a treat, no more chugging low down acceleration and feels like the engine stalling at every junction. Easy to fit and purchased alongside the DNA filter does what they both say on all the you tube videos. Would recommend 100% and TEC parts delivery experience was excellent.

Fitted plug and plank exhaust, fitting was a little bit of a fiddle trying to get the wiring to fit neatly behind side panel but can be done just need some patience

Great peice of kit - absolutrely worth it if you have one of the Euro 4 bikes. It's not a complete transformation - frankly I don't think there's enough massively wrong with the engine that you could completely transfrom it; but you you can definitely feel the difference. Throttle is less snatchy off idle and torque comes on smoother from lower down. Would recomend pairing with the DNA filter.

The TEC booster plug was easy to install and met all the performance claims. I couldn't put my finger on any one thing but in overall performance my Scrambler 1200 XC is a nicer, more responsive bike to ride with the booster.

Super fast delivery bit a fading around to fit as exhaust has to be removed to get to side panels just follow the u tube video very happy thanks TEC.

I attached it to the scrambler1200xe. If you are worried about installing it, we recommend that you install it immediately! If you are a regular rider, you will immediately notice a big difference after wearing it. Even if the rpm drops to about 2,000 rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear, there is no knocking, and it transforms into a very comfortable bike. Gasoline will be thicker, so be careful of carbon deposits, but if you open the accelerator a little or add a carbon remover, you should be fine. Definitely recommended!

Once the ECU has relearned the new components, you can feel and hear that stronger low down throttle response. A joy when coming up to junctions having faith in the throttle response not to stall ( Triumph- Why don't you take note!- Emissions regs - no doubt). Also improves gear changing. A worthwhile fitment to cure the stalling blues at low rpm!

flank exhaust, tail tidy, bar end mirrors, booster plug all arrived promptly and well packed the only issue i had was with the heat shields when fitting the flank exhaust some trimming was needed as they did not sit flat on the spacers supplied otherwise a great looking add on regards Tony.

Easy fit add on with immediate improvements to fuelling issues. Smoother running better pick up, even tickover. Shame this engine is set back due to emission regs.

I have only had my Scrambler for 2 weeks and I was already getting pissed off with it dying on me at the lights. I purchased the booster plug, and fitted it a few days ago. It took me about 40 mins to fit. It has made a massive difference to the bike. No more stalling at the traffic lights. Very happy with the quality of the product. Fast delivery as usual from Tec.

I bought my 2019 Scrambler a few weeks back. Noticed pretty quickly it had a little hesitancy when pulling away and I stalled it a couple of times. I initially put this down to new bike familiarisation and was starting to get into the habit of over throttling launches. This began to irritate me so I went on a couple of Triumph forums and saw others had the same issue (pleased it wasn't just me!) and this Booster Plug was given as a recommended cure. Pretty straightforward to fit with basic tools. Watched the video (which is very helpful) and took my time doing everything carefully. Reckon it took about just over an hour and a half to fit (which is longer than it probably should have done but like I say; I was being very careful!). Went for a long ride the next day and I can say there is a noticeable difference. Its not a hugely significant change (its not supposed to be). What it felt like it was doing was to subtly "tweak" the power on the throttle around the idle speed so it has less potential to die when the clutch engages. Its subtle but is noticeable and has fixed the stalling. My only (incredibly petty) criticism is that it could have done with the zip-ties needed for the install being supplied. That would then have then been 100% fully complete kit. However, that's a really minor point and I'm really happy with it.

This is a worthwhile mod. It worked on my T120 and now on my Scrambler 1200. Cured it’s tendency to stalling. Recommended.

L 'ho installato assieme al decat, camme, e filtro. È consigliabile mettere il sensore in zona non calda. Fa la miscela aria benzina troppo magra. L'ho posizionato sul lato sinistro sul tubo del portapacchi. Se avesse il cavo più lungo l'avrei messo vicino al fanale. Deve stare dove è fresco e ventilato. No vicino scarico o motore.

Used this for my scrambler 1200xc and what a difference. Confidence now with slow or stop start riding but also a smoother response. Totally recommend. As usual TEC customer care second to none.

My scrambler would often chug at low revs. Or even cut out completely. This booster plug has completely smoothed out the engine at low revs. I would highly recommend!!

The Booster-Plug works really good with a „decatted“ exhaust-system and the DNA Filter. Feels like a totally different engine. Cool! By the way: When will you offer a „Speedcutter-Killer“ for my 1200 XE???

My first thoughts on the booster plug would it work I looked at the reviews from others on forums some said it was a waste of time and money other’s said it was brilliant and sometimes you have to make your own mind up so a couple of weeks ago I purchased the booster plug kit and a DNA filter I followed the video at this point in time I left the snorkel in place I carried out the 20 minutes selt tune as said in video then took it for a ride at first I didn’t notice anything after a few miles I noticed that it would pull away a lot more smoothly and in the mid range the torque felt a lot stronger I came home and removed the snorkel did the 20 minutes self tune again after the engine was cold the following day and went for a long ride again I noticed that the air box was a lot louder when opening the throttle was about the same power and smoothness with the snorkel in but when you opened up the throttle around 5000 revs Christ it took off was presently surprised I know it’s peoples choice weather you get it or not I personally am very pleased with it the only thing I have done is put the snorkel back in as I didn’t like the induction noise (personalchoice) but it did make a noticeable difference when at higher speeds as I don’t ride like that as I wanted to test it out for my self I hope this review will help out if you are undecided I was sceptical at first but I’m very happy that I did Ride safe

Great to fit (easy) I fitted this before I had much time on the bike, but it pulls like a train and is beautiful to ride.

Excellent item and service, easy install except for triumph short stainless bolt shearing. LOL typical. TEC are a great company and I would defiantly use them again.

Great product, almost entirely solved the starvation problem when introducing revs from idle. Much easier to ride now when going slowly and feathering throttle and clutch. Getting spacers for the throttle next and she should be perfect. Extremely fast shipping too, first purchase from TEC and the great reviews from others over the years are spot on.

Purchased booster plus + DNA filter and decat the exhaust. XC which was good is now a rocket. Engine runs cooler. Fast delivery, easy to instal with YouTube. Price is very low considering the results. Congratulation TEC

This booster plug and DNA filter has transformed the bike into how it should run. I was not enjoying the stalling at junctions and it was becoming dangerous. These items also smooth out the throttle so no more jerky response. I have also removed the snorkel and done the 20min recalibration before test riding over 120miles. Best modification money can buy!!!!!
